  8. This file describes the differences (bugs fixed, new commands etc.)
  9. between different versions of WMM. The differences always refers to
  10. preceding version.

  14.   some bugs fixed, released on 1.3.1996
  15.   NEW FEATURES:
  16.   - (Papirus) Papirus now displays reply header (to, subject, conference)
  17.     and you can edit it.
  18.   - (Papirus) Papirus now cuts lines you wrote at 65 chars per line
  19.   - (WMM Tools) WMM Tools can: add, update two message bases, create
  20.     or convert BBS users' file, make WMI for a message base
  21.   - if there is a .REP packet older that .QWK WMM asks to delet it
  22.   - new Edit menu
  23.   - new File | View menu item
  24.   - sound capabilities has been added (Options | Sound)
  25.   - taglines can have multiple lines
  26.   - new Base | Thoroughly Clean up menu item

  44.   - toolbar help is displayed
  45.   - marking messages by date (Base|Mark)
  46.   - you can make groups
  47.   - when editing a splitted reply, the whole message is put together
  48.   - Base|Rename menu command
  49.   - for the first seven toolbar buttons right mouse button kills current
  50.     message and then does what that button does
  51.   - in Options|BBS Specific there's a new option (assume messages are 
  52.     private)
  53.   - F9 key = next message to all
  54.   - you can write remarks
  55.   - WMM can use (special) file with people and their fidonet addresses
  56.   - new option (general) - mark messages from you as read

  97.   - if "Don't show empty conferences" isn't checked, you couldn't 
  98.     write replies; now you can
  99.   - when reading personal messages, conference name wasn't always 
  100.     displayed; now it is
  101.   - .REP packet still was not 100% by the rules, therefore some mail 
  102.     doors didn't like it; now it's OK
  103.   - if you used F5 to switch to "Terminal" font, WMM remembered the
  104.     wrong fonr; now OK
  105.   - WMM now recognizes all kinds of fidonet addresses
  106.   - find command works also in personal "conference"
  107.   - WMM now goes on with Cam-Mail packets

  123.   - you can use .OR. operator in Find Window

  125.   - you can switch confersion on and off using F6 key

  127.   - you can use F5 key to switch message font to Terminal (and back)
  128.   - auto fidonet addressing is enabled, see Options | BBS Specific
  129.   - button "To:ALL->" (next to all) is added in Message Window
  130.   - PAPIRUS is added; it is a small editor, which will beep if line
  131.     is too long
  132.   - you can now mark messages in whole base
  133.   - by translating english.lne and naming it *.lng, WMM can be translated
  134.     in any language

  137.   - WMM signature has changed
  138.   - WMM signature and tagline are added after editing a reply
  139.   - WMM loads faster
  140.   - repairing indexes (clean base) is now faster
  141.   - WMM can now use root (c:\, b:\...) directories as well

  143.   BUGS FIXED:
  144.   - quoting was wrong; you quoted the one you wrote reply to, and not
  145.     the one, who wrote the message
  146.   - when re-editing a reply, some spaces and <cr>s were added to the
  147.     end of the reply. This is now fixed.
  148.   - if you closed WMM while writing a reply, WMM warned you that you 
  149.     can not do this, but he did not stop you; the consequence was
  150.     loosing all replies. Now you can not exit WMM while writing a reply.
  151.   - problems, you could have with replies (to QWK packets that you 
  152.     have renamed), because replies were not accepted by BBS, are now 
  153.     fixed
  154.   - in some cases (library, tagline) when you can not enter more than
  155.     the defined number of characters, WMM did not warn you. Now it beeps
  156.   - WMM now always removes all directories when closing
  157.   - you can search for duplicated in personal "conference" 
  158.   - if you added message in personal "conference", some garbage appeared
  159.     in message index; now fixed
